History
In 1997, penstocks.de was founded by engineer and entrepreneur Karl-Otto Trawniczek.
During the 20 years of its existence, penstocks.de has been carrying out several hundred projects in countries such as Germany, USA, Sweden, Russia, Turkey, China, Brasil or Chile. Sewage treatment plants, power plants, pumping stations, tunnel and civil engineering projects have been equipped with penstocks.de armatures.
In 2014, penstocks.de was converted into a limited liability company. In 2016 it became a member of the IBS corporate group. This step allowed us to enhance our sales network, to enlarge our range of products and services and to intensify our international orientation. Ever since, we have been combining our professional experience, achieving synergistic effects that allow us an even closer customer focus and assistance. Among its affiliates, penstocks.de is operating as a sales unit, executing the same construction, mounting, assistance and after sales services that have been appreciated by its customers for such a long time. Its new won partner, IBS Technics GmbH, is henceforth going to take care of the production of the penstocks.de armatures.
Flow Control for Every Application
Our range of services includes the planning, construction and installation supervision of penstocks and other related flow control devices emerging from hydraulic steel engineering. Our manufacturer is our sister company, IBS Technics GmbH. Of course, we also supply assistance and after sales services for our customers.
Our devices have been tried and tested and have proven their reliability in the isolation and control of open channels, inlets, drains, pits, basins, reservoirs and pipelines. penstocks.de instruments are used for flow control, level regulation, flow throttling, distribution of channel flow and prevention of reflux.
Our employees’ long-term experience in the construction and realisation of penstocks, weirs, flaps and valves of any kind allows us to provide you with the right solution for virtually every installation situation or problem in your facilities.
We consciously keep the diversity of attainable designs and materials large, so that we can offer our customers a broad choice of flow control and sewage devices for virtually all requirements of hydraulic engineering. They are available from nominal diameters of 150 mm up to approx. 3000 mm, as well as in the corresponding rectangular shapes and sizes. The material range includes zinc-coated steel, stainless steel 304, 316 and duplex steel types. We will be glad to take into account any special requests and requirements regarding designs and materials.
DIN Certified Quality
In order to guarantee a trouble-free operation of our installations at any time, we particularly pay attention to a robust, functionally reliable and safe design according to the German standard DIN 19569-4, “Wastewater treatment plants – Principles for the design of structures and technical equipment”.
When we design, install, take into operation or maintain our installations, we take into account the aspect of safety by respecting the „General principles for design, risk assessment and risk reduction” of the standard DIN EN ISO 12100, „Safety of machinery”.
